Subsidies for projects to carry out international promotion activities.

First of all, you have to find out if your company is eligible to apply for the grant.

The grant is aimed at companies operating in Catalonia that are incorporated as a corporation, limited liability company or cooperative that meet the following requirements:

• Turnover over 250,000 euros in the previous fiscal year.
• Availability of the company’s website in a foreign language.
• To have a current international promotion plan (IPP), elaborated as of 2022, containing the information of the model.

Companies dedicated to intermediation or distribution cannot benefit from these grants, nor can companies in the tourism or cultural sector whose objective is to attract clients to Catalonia.

In this phase, make the online application for the grant and provide documentation about the project:

• Technical memorandum of the project.
• Complete and detailed budget of the project.
• Statement of the benefits received in concept of minimums for the last three years.
• International promotion plan.

The grant intensity is 50% of the project budget, up to a maximum of €20,000. Projects must have a minimum requested expenditure of €12,500.

But don’t worry, we are at your side to create all the documentation… you will only need to dedicate a couple or three hours. It’s worth it!

Once the application is submitted, the file will be reviewed by the program experts within a period of a few weeks. The justification will be given according to evaluation criteria such as whether the level of investment in digital promotion in relation to the total budget requested, the action plan is aligned with the international promotion plan presented, the company’s export experience…

The following actions and expenses are considered eligible for subsidies:

1. Digital promotion tasks such as web and/or e-commerce development and content creation to access new markets, digital marketing plan actions and international advertising campaigns…
2. Physical promotion activities such as participation in promotional events: fairs, congresses, exhibitions, point-of-sale promotion, tasting sessions, seminars, etc.
3. Expenses for the preparation of the grant justification report by an auditor (maximum eligible cost of €1,000).

The supporting documentation is detailed below:

• A justifying economic report, which also contains the report of an auditor registered in the ROAC.
• Technical report of the action according to the model available on the ACCIÓ website.
• Demonstrative documentation of the actions carried out.
• Memorandum justifying the deviations between the justified action and the one initially subsidized (if applicable).
• Signed statement.
